TIFF to JPG Converter

TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) is a heavyweight image format used extensively in professional photography, print production, and medical imaging. TIFF files support high bit depths (16-bit per channel), multiple layers, lossless LZW compression, and ICC color profiles — but they're often many megabytes in size and unsupported by web browsers. Converting TIFF to JPG produces universally compatible images that are dramatically smaller while maintaining excellent visual quality for viewing and sharing. SublimePDF handles multi-layer TIFF files, CMYK color spaces, and high bit depths, flattening and converting them to standard 8-bit sRGB JPEGs.

How to Convert TIFF to JPG Online

1

Upload your TIFF file

Drag and drop your .tiff or .tif file. The converter handles single-page and multi-page TIFF, CMYK and RGB color spaces, 8-bit and 16-bit per channel, and LZW/ZIP/uncompressed TIFF variants.

2

Configure JPEG output

Set the quality level (1–100), choose the target color space (sRGB for web use), and for multi-page TIFF files, select which pages to convert or export all pages as separate JPG files.

3

Download your JPG files

Single-page TIFF produces one JPG file. Multi-page TIFF produces individually numbered JPG files or a ZIP archive. Expect 90–99% file size reduction for uncompressed TIFF input.

TIFF to JPG Conversion FAQ

How does the converter handle CMYK TIFF files?
CMYK values are converted to sRGB using the embedded ICC profile, or a default CMYK-to-sRGB mapping if no profile is present. Colors are accurately translated for screen viewing.
What about multi-page TIFF files?
Each page in the TIFF is converted to a separate JPG file. You can select specific pages or convert all pages. Files are numbered sequentially (image-001.jpg, image-002.jpg, etc.).
Will 16-bit TIFF images lose quality when converted to 8-bit JPG?
The 16-bit data is tone-mapped to 8-bit using perceptual mapping that preserves visible detail. Subtle tonal gradations in deep shadows or highlights may be slightly compressed.
Are TIFF layers (such as from Photoshop) handled?
The converter flattens all layers into a single composite image before JPEG encoding. Individual layer data is not preserved in the JPG output.
Does the converter support BigTIFF (files over 4 GB)?
Browser-based processing has practical memory limits. Standard TIFF files (under ~500 MB) are well supported. Very large BigTIFF files may exceed browser memory constraints.
