About SublimePDF
We believe PDF tools should be free, fast, private, and accessible to everyone.
Our Mission
SublimePDF was built with a simple mission: to provide the best PDF tools on the web, completely free and with absolute privacy. We believe that working with PDF documents shouldn't require expensive software, confusing interfaces, or surrendering your files to unknown servers.
Privacy-First Approach
Unlike most online PDF tools, SublimePDF processes your files entirely in your browser. Your documents are never uploaded to any server. We use cutting-edge WebAssembly technology to perform all PDF operations locally on your device. This means:
- Your files never leave your device
- No data is stored or logged
- Processing is faster (no upload/download time)
- Works offline once the page is loaded
For Developers
For developers who need to generate PDFs programmatically, we offer a powerful API that converts HTML and CSS into pixel-perfect PDF documents. Built on real browser rendering technology, our API supports the full CSS3 specification, web fonts, SVGs, and everything else you can render in a modern browser.
Technology
SublimePDF runs on a modern WebAssembly and Chromium-based stack. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser — files never leave your device. We use WebAssembly for high-performance, native-speed operations in the browser, and Chromium for our API's pixel-perfect HTML-to-PDF rendering. PDF documents follow the ISO 32000 standard, ensuring compatibility with every major PDF reader and tool.
- WebAssembly — In-browser processing at near-native speed
- Chromium — Full CSS3, fonts, and SVG support for API rendering
- Client-side only — No server uploads for our free tools
Security & Privacy
Your documents stay yours. We use AES-256 encryption where data is transmitted, and for our free tools, nothing is uploaded at all — processing is fully client-side. We do not store, log, or retain your files. Our approach aligns with GDPR and HIPAA principles: no unnecessary data collection, no third-party sharing, and full user control.
Open Source
Our core processing libraries are open source. We believe in transparency and auditability — you can inspect the code that handles your PDFs and verify our privacy and security claims yourself.
