TXT to PDF Converter

Converting plain text files to PDF gives your content a professional, portable format that looks consistent on every device and operating system. Plain .txt files lack any formatting, pagination, or visual structure — converting to PDF adds proper page layout, configurable fonts, margins, and headers or footers. This is essential for distributing documentation, README files, log outputs, or code snippets in a universally readable format. SublimePDF wraps long lines intelligently, handles UTF-8 and extended character sets, and produces well-paginated PDF documents from raw text input.

How to Convert TXT to PDF Online

1

Upload your text file

Drag and drop your .txt file. SublimePDF auto-detects encoding (UTF-8, ASCII, Latin-1, UTF-16) and handles line endings from Windows (CRLF), macOS/Linux (LF), and legacy Mac (CR).

2

Configure page layout and typography

Choose font family (monospace for code/logs, serif or sans-serif for prose), font size, line spacing, margins, and page size (Letter, A4, Legal). Enable line numbers for code or log files.

3

Add optional headers and footers

Include page numbers, document title, date, or custom text in headers and footers. These are rendered on every page of the output PDF.

4

Download your PDF

The resulting PDF preserves all text content with proper pagination, word wrapping, and your chosen typography settings.

TXT to PDF Conversion FAQ

How does the converter handle very long lines?
Lines exceeding the page width are wrapped at word boundaries. For code or log files, you can enable character-level wrapping to prevent mid-word breaks from changing meaning.
Can I use a monospace font for code files?
Yes. Choose from Courier, Consolas, or Source Code Pro for monospace output. This preserves alignment in code, tables, and ASCII art.
What character encodings are supported?
UTF-8, ASCII, Latin-1 (ISO 8859-1), and UTF-16 (both LE and BE). The converter auto-detects encoding but you can override it manually if needed.
Will Unicode characters (emojis, CJK, Arabic) render correctly?
Yes. SublimePDF uses fonts with broad Unicode coverage. CJK characters, Arabic/Hebrew (RTL), and emoji are rendered correctly in the output PDF.
Can I add a title page to the PDF?
Not currently as an automatic feature, but you can add a title in the header which appears on every page. For a standalone title page, add the title text as the first section of your text file.
